Dr Hussain has been working as a general paediatrician with a special interest in paediatric neurodisability for the last five years. He has 18 years of postgraduate clinical experience in various healthcare systems, including Pakistan, KSA, Ireland, England, and Australia.
After completing his paediatric training and obtaining his Fellowship in Pakistan and Ireland, he trained in Paediatric Neurodisability/Neurology at Imperial College Healthcare NHS FT London and obtained FRCPCH in 2018. He also completed a Diploma in Paediatric Neurodisability from Shielfield, England, in 2020. Dr Hussain became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physician-Paediatric Division in 2022.
Dr Hussain has a range of interests in general paediatrics, including neonatal care, feeding difficulties in neonates, assessment of developmental impairments, management of autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disability, ADHD, NF-1, Down syndrome, sleep disorders, epilepsy, and Headache disorders.
He believes in a patient-centred approach and close collaboration with families, allied health professionals, teachers, GPs, and other caregivers.
He has three children and loves painting and sports (cricket).
