Dr. Iyer holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Doctorate of Medicine (MD), and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).

She works as a Consultant Paediatrician at Werribee Mercy and Sunshine Hospitals in Melbourne and has been a general paediatrician for over 25 years. Dr Iyer is also involved in teaching undergraduate Medical students.

She has range of interests covering general paediatric issues including but not limited to babies, preterm follow up, feeding issues, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and behavioural issues.

Dr Iyer believes in providing family and child centered care. She is fluent in Hindi and Tamil.
